Netball Whole Sport Plan
Below is my presentation based on the similarities and differences between the National Governing Bodies I have picked (Netball and Lacrosse). I wrote about how the different sections; National/Regional and Local structures are different or the same and how there whole sport plan can be different as they have different views of how to imcrease participation etc.
Structures and Functions of two Governing Bodies of Sport
A Sports Governing bodies is a management team that provide clearance for rules/laws for the game either in amateur or professional sport, and ensire that the game stays safe and fair to all pariticpants within a specific sport. their are Governing bodies for all sports, for example; The F.A is the british sporting bodie for football adn the RFU is the Sporting body for Rugby.
Without these bodies, the sport would not be able to stay fair and set new rules and laws, possibly causing participants to lose interest in sport adn this prevents the sport froma advancing in the future.
The main Aims and objectives of the Sport Governing Bodies are;
Providing a Nationl directive and structured,
Providing support and insurance to clubs throughout the country,
Increase the quality and quantity of coaches, volunteers and officials,
Organise and/or provide information oncompetitive opportunities at all levels,
Assist with facility developments,
Provide information and advice on funding,
Provide clear objectives and actions for clubs and individuals in assist in the development of that Sport.
F.A Code of Conduct
There are five Code of Conducts which apply to all ages and level of the league they play in.
These five codes of conducts apply to;
Young players
Adult players
Spectators and Parents/Carers
Coaoches, Team Managers and Club Officials
Match Officials
